Skin Resurfacing With Alma
Lasers at the Laser Center of NYC
The technique used for laser skin resurfacing at the Manhattan, New York
Laser Center, Directed by Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Douglas
Senderoff, MD, FACS, uses Alma lasers to remove areas of damaged or wrinkled skin, layer by layer. The
nonsurgical skin resurfacing procedure is most commonly used to minimize the appearance
of fine lines, especially around the mouth and the eyes. However, it is
also effective in treating facial scars (acne scars, surgical scars, or
superficial scars) or areas of uneven pigmentation.
Laser resurfacing may be performed on the whole face or in specific
regions. Skin resurfacing with Alma Lasers is performed at the
Board Certified Plastic Surgeon's Manhattan, New York office as an
out-patient procedure.
Laser resurfacing can often make patients look 10 to 20 years younger,
and the results can last for eight to 10 years.
Often, the laser skin resurfacing procedure is done in conjunction
with another cosmetic or plastic surgery operation, such as a facelift
or eyelid surgery. To Manhattan, New York, Board Certified Plastic
Surgeon's before and after gallery can be found on his plastic surgery
website http://www.drsenderoff.com.
Laser skin rejuvenation is a popular procedure performed at the Manhattan,
New York Laser Center because it is a safe and very effective outpatient procedure. There is little down-time
with this procedure. Laser skin resurfacing results in smoother,
younger, unblemished, healthy skin. The results from laser skin
resurfacing are dramatic.
Laser skin resurfacing is appropriate for patients who want to diminish
discoloration, wrinkles, sun damage, acne marks, or other types of
scarring including acne scarring and /or surgical scarring. Laser skin resurfacing
can also effectively treat skin that is
uneven in color or texture. Still, those with severe scarring may need
to use additional scar revision techniques in order to achieve the best
results possible. The NYC Laser Center recommends the
Pixel Skin Resurfacing
for those with severe acne scarring or surgical scarring.
The best candidates for laser skin rejuvenation are those who have
realistic expectations and who discuss their questions and concerns with
the physician beforehand. An initial complimentary consultation at the
Manhattan Laser Center can help to ensure optimal laser skin resurfacing
results are achieved. Both men and women have had
exceptional results from this procedure.
Skin resurfacing with Alma Lasers at the Laser Center of NYC works by targeting the
surface layer of the skin, vaporizing water and the skin’s surface
without affecting deeper layers. A new surface layer will then grow back
– a layer that is soft, wrinkle-free, and significantly younger looking.
The heat generated during the laser skin resurfacing process also
shortens the collagen fibers in the skin, which restores much of the
skin's of elasticity.
Who Is a Good Candidate For Laser Resurfacing? If you have
fine lines or wrinkles around the eyes, mouth or on the forehead, a few scars
from acne (or any superficial scars on the face), or non-responsive skin after a facelift, then you may be an
ideal candidate for laser skin resurfacing.
What are the Advantages of Laser Skin Resurfacing Over Surgery?

Outpatient procedure
